Description: 

Assist with operation of Communicy Payee Services Program.

Responsibilities: 

Provide accurate distribution of funds daily according to individual budgets.  Monitor collection of receipts and/or other documentation for all transactions.

 Utilize automated Client Fund Management system so that all information is current, and individuals’ bills are paid in a timely manner.

 Assure completion of reports for Social Security Administration annually for each individual for whom the Agency is designated as representative payee.  Maintain other communications, as needed, with Social Security related to continuation of the individual’s benefits.

Collaborate with Operations Director and other CPS staff to assure coverage of program duties and schedules in order to meet the needs of individuals served.

Work with agency clinical staff, other case managers or supports coordinators, individuals served and their representatives to accomplish budgeting goals.

Provide advocacy with appropriate service vendors to meet the financial needs of the individuals served.

Maintain an accurate daily accounting of any cash and checking transactions.

Prepare other reports, including accounting of transactions for individuals served as needed.


Requirements: 

An Associates degree in business or accounting with two years professional experience that includes computerized financial record-keeping. Experience with non-profit business operations and fund accounting desired.  Good communication and negotiation skills, excellent organizational ability, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently required.  Knowledgeable about and supportive of culturally-competent, recovery and trauma informed practices.
