Full-Time - M-F - 8 AM to 5 PM (plus other hours as necessary)

Starting Salary is **$35,000 per year   ---  **dependent upon related education and/or experience.

In this postion, you will coordinate the Community Payee Services (CPS) program, serving approximately 600 clients, to ensure the program meets Social Security Representative Payee standards, as well as the mission of InterAct of Michigan.

Responsibilities: 
  • Supervise CPS staff
  • Assist the Operations Director with management of agency financial operations
  • Ensure client bills and requests for funds based on the individual budgets.    
  • Overall responsibility for monitoring client accounts
  • Ensure advocacy with service vendors to meet the financial needs of clients                    
  • Ensure CPS communicates in a manner that demonstrates respect for clients
  • Ensure clients’ right to privacy and confidentiality is protected in CPS
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements: 

Minimum Requirements:  

    • Associates degree in finance/accounting + 1 year professional experience that includes computerized financial record-keeping or a combination of at least 3 years related education and/or professional experience required. 
    • Effective communication and negotiation skills, excellent organizational ability, proven problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently required. 
    • Experience with AccuFund software program a plus; Ability to learn payee services software program essential.
    • Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.
