Kent Services Director

Job Type: 

InterAct operates 3 Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) teams, the Navigate program providing early intervention for young adults experiencing first-episode psychosis, Supported Employment/IPS services, and Priority Health Care Coordination. Approximately 50 employees work at InterAct’s Kent site serving about 700 individuals annually.

  • Lead InterAct’s clinical services and staff in Kent County

  • Develop and direct an effective and efficient operation that meets standards and flexibly adapts to the changing environment in mental health and substance use disorders

  • Participate in leadership activities within the agency and community that maximize achievement of InterAct’s mission

  • Ensure compliance with procedures, standards, and policies for agency operations, including Code of Ethical Conduct

  • Master’s degree in a discipline related to the treatment of persons with mental illness  

  • Minimum of five years supervisory or management experience in mental health, human services and/or substance use disorders

  • Current registration or license to practice with experience specific to ACT and MCBAP credentials for co-occurring substance abuse treatment

  • Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving ability including negotiation and conflict resolution skills 

  • Strong coaching and mentoring experience with teams with diverse levels of expertise 

  • Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills  

  • A team leader who can positively and productively impact on clinical, organizational, and financial objectives  

  • Ability to work independently and operate as an effective tactical and strategic thinker  

  • Knowledgeable about and supportive of culturally-competent, recovery and trauma informed practices
