Grand Rapids Office Opens October 1st


InterAct began the biggest service expansion in its history on October 1, 2013 with the opening of its Kent County offices at 1131 Ionia NW, Grand Rapids, MI  49503; Phone# (616) 259-7900. The bright and welcoming space was developed specifically for delivery of Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) services and Supported Employment through a contract with Network 180.  Executive Director Claudia Wink-Basing states, “we are pleased to announce that Travis Swieringa has been hired as Site Director for InterAct’s Kent County operations.  Travis is known for his dedication to the success of people served by the ACT teams.  His appreciation of this mission along with his years of experience and leadership skills combined to make him the perfect candidate for this position.”  Swieringa is joined by another long-time ACT staff, Omega Team Supervisor Dan Burgess.  Karen Foster and Mark Sanford have joined the program as Supervisors for the Alpha and Delta teams, respectively.  Marisela Bobo has been hired as the Supported Employment Supervisor for InterAct’s Grand Rapids offices.   InterAct is pleased to have such experienced leadership for its Kent County programs.  An excellent cadre of clinicians, peer specialists, operations staff, and employment specialists has been hired to assure that InterAct is able to deliver effective, recovery-based services to people in the Grand Rapids area.
